The chapters of the Fondation France-Asie
Founded in 2023, the Fondation France-Asie now brings together three country chapters: the France China Foundation, the France India Foundation and the France Japan Foundation, each advancing its mission within one of three major bilateral relationships. The Fondation France-Asie provides coordination and strategic guidance to these chapters, ensuring consistency across their activities and supporting the development of their programmes and initiatives. Together, they work to strengthen ties between French and Asian civil societies, notably through the Young Leaders programmes and the development of initiatives and platforms for dialogue throughout the year.
France China Foundation
Established in 2012, the France China Foundation is the first chapter of the Fondation France-Asie. As a platform for dialogue between French and Chinese civil societies, it fosters lasting connections between leading figures from both countries and encourages the development of joint projects. Its activities centre on the France-China Young Leaders programme, which has brought together nearly 300 participants since its inception, as well as high-level cooperation and dialogue initiatives such as the France China Climate Initiative and the France-China Track 2 Dialogue.

France India Foundation
The France India Foundation supports the development of Franco-Indian relations by fostering exchanges and collaboration between stakeholders from both countries. It helps build a dynamic and entrepreneurial network and promotes cooperation in the economic, industrial, artistic and cultural fields. Alongside the France-India Young Leaders programme, it also leads thematic initiatives aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation, such as the France India AI Initiative, launched in 2025.

France Japan Foundation
Established in 2024, the France Japan Foundation is the Japanese chapter of the Fondation France-Asie. It works to bring French and Japanese civil societies closer together by fostering dialogue, building lasting connections and encouraging the emergence of joint projects. Its activities are centred on the France-Japan Young Leaders programme, launched in 2025, with a particular emphasis on cultural exchanges and the transmission of knowledge and traditions, which have historically been among the foundations of the relationship between the two countries.
