France Asia Outlooks
The France Asia Outlooks are regular briefing sessions organised by the Fondation France-Asie to provide a better understanding of the major political, economic and strategic developments shaping Asia and their implications for France and Europe.
This format draws on the expertise of Young Leaders based in Asia, alongside experts and prominent figures, to bring together diverse perspectives and provide the Foundation’s community with valuable insights into ongoing transformations. The first editions notably explored political and economic developments in China and the country’s main strategic priorities, including a session in May 2026 dedicated to China’s new Five-Year Plan and its implications, from domestic priorities to their international impact.
From 2026 onwards, the Fondation France-Asie is extending this format to India and Japan with the launch of the India Outlooks and Japan Outlooks, offering regular sessions dedicated to the three major bilateral relationships supported by its country chapters. Through these discussions, the Foundation aims to draw on the expertise within its network to analyse the dynamics specific to each country, gain a deeper understanding of their evolution and contribute to broader reflection on relations between France and Asia.
