Gala Dinner of the Fondation France-Asie

The Gala Dinner is the Fondation France-Asie’s flagship event, bringing together more than 300 distinguished guests each year, including ministers, diplomats, business leaders, members and friends of the Foundation, to strengthen ties between France and major Asian countries and encourage dialogue on key contemporary issues.

Each edition takes place at a prestigious venue, such as the Hôtel de Lassay, the Centre Pompidou, the Palais d’Iéna or the Palace of Versailles. Since its first edition in 2017, the Foundation’s annual Gala has welcomed guests of honour who embody the bonds of friendship between France and its major partner countries in Asia.

Over the years, we have had the honour of welcoming actresses Gong Li, Sophie Marceau and Juliette Binoche; musicians Lang Lang and Renaud Capuçon; explorers and scientists Abhilash Tomy and Merieme Chadid (YL 2014); numerous business leaders, including Natarajan Chandrasekaran (Tata Sons), Antoine Arnault (LVMH), Jean-Paul Agon and Nicolas Hieronimus (L’Oréal), Mathieu Chabran (Tikehau Capital, YL 2017), Nicolas Houzé (Galeries Lafayette, YL 2016), Frédéric Oudéa (Sanofi) and Frédéric Jousset (Webhelp); as well as political figures, including former Prime Minister Édouard Philippe (YL 2013) and former President of the French National Assembly Claude Bartolone.
