Meeting with H.E. the Ambassador of Singapore to France

On Tuesday March 12, the Fondation France-Asie was honored to welcome Ms. Teow Lee Foo, Ambassador of Singapore to France, who presented her views on Franco-Singaporean relations and the challenges facing the city-state to an audience of Young Leaders and partners.

The Ambassador recalled that France was one of the first states to recognize Singapore’s independence in 1965. She also pointed out that in 2012, France and Singapore signed a joint declaration elevating the relationship between the two countries to the rank of strategic partnership.

Several topical issues were discussed over lunch: regional geopolitics, cooperation in the field of Tech and sustainable development, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, the issue of energy and the importance of academic and scientific exchanges, which contribute to enriching exchanges between France and Singapore.

The Fondation France-Asie warmly thanks Ahmed Baladi (YL 2015) and Gibson Dunn – France for hosting and organizing the luncheon, as well as Pierre Poignant (YL 2023) for his active participation in the organization of this meeting.
